As part of Basemin Supply Chain policy, we are committed to refraining from procuring any Conflict Minerals and Metals within our supply chain. Conflict Minerals and Metals refer to materials that, during their extraction, production, or distribution, have either intentionally or unintentionally benefited illegal armed groups or contributed to conflicts and human rights violations.
Basemin strictly prohibits the inclusion of such materials in our supply chain, and consequently, they do not find their way into any of our products. Thus, all Basemin products can be confidently classified as free from any connection to conflict or human rights abuses.
We identify Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs) in accordance with the criteria outlined in the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas Third Edition (OECD Guidance).
We believe that responsible sourcing is the cornerstone of a sustainable supply chain. We work diligently to source our minerals and resources from areas where ethical and environmentally sound mining practices are upheld. By partnering with local communities and adhering to strict ethical guidelines, we aim to minimize the environmental impact and promote fair labour practices.
